I’m Stirling R. Martin, a pilot, writer, and photographer trying to pay better attention to the world around me.
I fly for a living, which means I spend a lot of time moving from one place to the next. But the part that sticks with me is usually everything in between: the old streets, the quiet pubs, the mountain roads, the aircraft on a ramp at sunrise, the meal you remember years later, or the light rippling from one wave to another.
This site is where I’m collecting all of that: photography, essays, travel notes, flying reflections, creative work, and whatever else I’m building along the way. More than anything, it’s a place for curiosity, for chasing stories, noticing the details, and trying to live a little more awake. Welcome and please enjoy!
